Calico Creativities Workshops are designed to complement each performance of the Calico Children's Theatre and engage children and parents through the artistic learning process. Attendance at the performance is not required to register for a workshop. Workshop pricing applies to children. Parents are free! Backstage with Frisch Marionettes

Recommended for grades K-6
Get a "behind the scenes" look at the making of a marionette. From design idea to finished construction, you will see the "magic" that goes in to creating these colorful images of humans, animals and spectacular creatures. Also, create your very own SURPRISE paper marionette based on a character from the "Jungle Book."
Music Making 101 Presented by Percussion Group Cincinnati
Saturday, March 6, 2010 - 12:30 p.m.
Ticket price: $4 per child
Recommended for grades 1-8
This workshop offers children a hands-on music experience. Led by Percussion Group Cincinnati, participants will learn to create rhythms on traditional percussion instruments and not so traditional household items. Together all "musicians" will hold a "mini" musicmaking concert!
