The Southwest Ohio Educational Opportunity Center's goal is to provide
counseling and information on college admissions and financial aid to qualified
adults interested in entering or continuing a postsecondary program in any
two-year college, four-year college, vocational or technical school.
All of our services are free. We especially urge lower-income adults
whose parents have not received a college degree to apply for our
services.
- Educational Information -- provide information on postsecondary
institutions, offer on-line access to community colleges, trade schools, and
four-year institutions, offer academic preparation, career planning, and
financial aid information library
- Application Assistance -- help with school admissions applications
and financial aid applications
- Financial Aid -- information on Federal and State financial aid
programs, veteran's education benefits, state and local scholarship
programs, scholarship sources for minorities, women, disabled and other
groups
- Career Counseling -- help with career planning, including interest
and career exploration questionnaires and self-guided computer program to
aid in exploring career options
- Academic Advising -- assist in college selection, help with
planning college majors and class selection
- Referral Services -- serve as a resource to participants for
referral to other community agencies for services the SOEOC is unable to
provide, arrange for free tutoring when needed

we can help. We will help identify your career options, select the
appropriate schools to pursue your options, and assist in your educational and
career transition. We are there as you strive to enhance your personal and
professional development.
