If you are interested in bettering your educational and career opportunities, but aren't sure how to go about it, the Southwest Ohio Educational Opportunity Center can help.
Meet with one of our advisors and utilize the SOEOC Computer Lab to explore your career options. SIGI PLUSŪ (System of Interactive Guidance and Information Plus more) is a comprehensive, up-to-date career planning software program. People with little or no computer experience can easily work through the SIGI PLUSŪ program to determine their work-related values and skills, and use them to help to identify their best career options.

Self-Assessment: Probe your interests, skills and values Search: Create a list of occupations by using criteria that you establish Information: 38 fields of information about specific occupations Skills: Identify skills needed for success in an occupation Preparing: Describes the training required for entrance into each occupation Coping: Gives practical information about finding financial aid, daycare, tips on time management, etc. Deciding: Compare the potential rewards of up to three career choices at a time Next Steps: Tells how to develop skills and/or educational necessary for success |
